Technical product leadership

A product leader who can work through the stack

Alex Grenier is a Seattle-based Senior Product Manager with 11 years at Microsoft and an Honours Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Toronto. His work connects operating systems, APIs, hardware, firmware, games, controllers, accessories and accessibility devices.

He began on Microsoft’s Operating Systems team with the Audio Pipeline shared by Windows and Xbox. He moved into Spatial Sound and console audio, then applied the same platform approach to input APIs, game features and new devices.

That technical background supports the product work: setting strategy and roadmaps, writing specifications, resolving tradeoffs with engineers, and making release decisions from telemetry, triage and developer feedback.
